Graduate lands a job at Norton bikes

A Derby University graduate has gained a job as a design engineer at one of the oldest motorcycle companies in the UK.

While studying at university, Johnny Cusack spent two years working as part of a team at Norton gaining invaluable experience in the motorcycle industry.

Now, with two degrees to his name in motorcycle engineering and mechanical engineering, he has become a Norton design engineer.

He is joining a small team of industry professionals, and said he was really keen to get started and looked forward to the challenges ahead.

Norton, which operates from Donington Park, made its first motorcycle in 1902.

The company, which was established in Birmingham, manufactured nearly 100,000 military motorcycles for the British Army during the Second World War.
