Amey creates 163 graduate and apprenticeship roles

Amey has recruited 163 graduates and apprentices this year.
The infrastructure support services provider inducted the new recruits last month to their full time, permanent roles at the firm.
Amey pledged at the beginning of this year to have one per cent of its workforce as graduate trainees and two per cent of its workforce as apprentices. This has now been reached with a total of 330 graduates and apprentices. Up to 100 graduates per year are recruited across two dedicated programmes.
The company has also been listed in TheJobCrowd’s Top Companies For Graduates To Work For index for the second year running, ranking second in the Engineering and Manufacturing category and 34th overall.
Valerie Hughes-D’Aeth, Group HR Director at Amey, says: “At Amey we place a great deal of emphasis on recruiting young, talented people who bring a fresh approach and may become our future leaders.
“In order to grow our highly skilled workforce it is very important that we support young people’s career development through structured programmes and further training and we are delighted that our commitment to our graduates has been recognised by these rankings.”
