Employer satisfaction rates remain high according to this months JobsOutlook survey from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation.
The JobsOutlook survey from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has found that 9 out of 10 clients are satisfied with the service they have received from recruitment agencies. This is good news for recruitment agencies as unemployment increases and many companies are still cautious during uncertain economic times.
Tom Hadley, Director of Policy and Professional Services for REC commented: “Employer satisfaction rates remain consistently high which is great news. Although the key factor will always be the ability to find the right person for the job or assignment, recruiters have gone the extra mile in providing support to clients on AWR implementation and other external challenges.”
“As well as showcasing the added value that the industry provides, the REC’s priority is to continue helping recruiters to shine through business support, training, research and policy briefings. A satisfaction rate of 90 per cent is something the industry can be proud of and can continue to build on.”
Graduate and Youth unemployment remain a big concern for the government, as many employers say they don’t have the required skills to go straight into work. Graduate jobs currently take on graduates that have had previous experience in an internship or work experience role within the company. City and Guilds and the REC believe that there is a need for better links between education and the business community in order to provide students with much needed experience in the world of work.
